sooooooooo, yesterday after my pretty great morning (see last entry) I finally made a trip to the open door. i can not even tell you how awesome this place was or the woman who owned it was, but i did get some chairs and jewerly. NOW THE KITCHEN IS PERFECT. (minus the tape player) After visiting with friends, gettting mail, going to cd wearhouse, and the laundrymat;
will, ty, and alyson introduced me to my new favorite bar and no, i won't tell you the name of it. SO HA.
we talked about when we were kids and dads catching puke and sat on the patio and made plans to go camping.
then i came home and alyson and i talked (probably about boys and vacations) at the kitchen table.
this is the closest i have felt
to how i want to feel
that i have had in a long time.

my dad came to visit. i made him coffee. he wanted to know where the "real" sugar was. he liked our apartment and it made me feel proud. he took lots of pictures with his camera. i told him about a bad dream i had about mom and it made us both sad. he did an impression of an old man dancing that made me laugh. he showed me alternate routes to and from work on his missouri state map.
it was a good morning.
